I enjoy playing with the concepts of time and time travel. Sometimes I imagine time travel not as a trip forward or backward in time, but rather travel that uses time as a means of propulsion (my "The Hawking" time drive rocket ship is an example). I also sometimes think of time as a place ... the chronosphere.

If we permit ourselves to think that way, it is only natural to conceive of a means to travel to, or within, this place. For me, the means is a specially equipped airship that I have dubbed "The Chronosphere Explorer."

I have sculpted "the explorer" in pewter and brass. It has one movable part, the propeller spins. I'm not certain how the propeller is used when traveling to (or within) The Chronosphere, but I thought it prudent to include one.

This sculpture can be removed from it's frame and worn as a brooch.

It may be purchased with or without it's frame.
