While wandering the wasteland, Alice sees something green growing amidst the devastation. She gets on all fours to get close to it, and reaches out to touch it. It is a beautiful thing. It is hope.
This sculpture is made of wood & paper mache and paint with a pewter figure, and a brass plant. It also includes pieces of coal. The coal, represents the cause of the calamity.
This sculpture measures 9.25 in long x 5.5 in wide x 3 in high.

The “Alice” series allows for a measure of hope … however, It includes pieces of coal, reminding us of the cause of the calamity, and the political & economic barriers that must be broken if humankind (and many other species) is to survive into the future.
