This is the iconic 1962 Corvette re-imagined as steampowered.  The ‘62 is characterized by the the graceful rounded fenders in the front, and a sloping flat rear (like the Corvette Stingray, which was introduced in 1963). I chose this model because I love the front end styling (which I have exaggerated some) and because the “flat” back gives me an ideal location to place a steam boiler.

It is a brooch pin made of pewter, brass and silver with 4 movable parts. The door opens/closes, the steering wheel turns, and the wheels turn.

It may be removed from its frame & worn, and then returned to its frame for display.
