This brooch evokes the beauty and quiet of a balloon, and the joy of soaring into the sky in the basket of one. This piece was inspired by a balloon ride that Princess Nancy & I took a few years ago. Our balloon pilot was most certainly an excellent aeronaut!

I made the brooch using pewter, brass and copper. It is available with the frame shown, so that you may display it when not wearing it. The brooch is easily removed from the frame. Simply open the clasp and slide the pin out of the custom bracket I made specifically for this piece.

NOTE: this is only ONE item … you have the choice of purchasing it with, or without the frame (NOT both).

Caution should be taken when putting this on and wearing it, as the “ropes” between the balloon and the basket are easily bent.

The brooch is about two inches high.

The available frame is 6 ¾ in x 5 ¼ in.
